Stephanie Lucich: Merced’s thrilling, astounding, amazing symphony

On Sept. 19, I had the most enjoyable evening. It was alternately thrilling, poignant, amazing, relaxing and introspective; a simply astounding event. I attended a first-class performance of the Merced Symphony at the Art Kamangar Center.

After living in San Francisco for years, including having season tickets to the S.F. Symphony, I can attest to the high quality of our musicians and our conductor, Ming Luke. Mark your calendar for their next performance on Nov. 20, “Sonic Landscapes,” showcasing the music of Vivaldi and Piazzolla. Come join us! We are our own Gallo Center.

Stephanie Lucich, Merced
