Bill Simpson: Senior bowler says Bellevue should turn up the AC
I care for the health and welfare of bowlers in their 60s, 70s and 80s who are bowling at Bellevue Bowl in Atwater. The Bowl has raised the price of bowling in the leagues for the second year in a row. I know the wood on the lanes and the air-conditioning system are not up to par. Bowlers, including me, are tired of asking the staff to turn up the AC.
I know Bowl staff gets tired of bowlers complaining about the heat.
I bowl in two leagues, the Tuesday Seniors and the Commercial Classic. The Bowl should realize that if bowlers quit a league or just drop out of bowling, they never come back. It has been triple digits for several days this summer, and it has been hot at the Bowl. I hope the owner and management read this letter and change their policies for the comfort of all their bowlers. They could lose us!
