Jacqueline Pennington: Despite PC complaints, high school video well done

Re “Fake shooting on rivalry video” (Page A1, Nov. 13): First congratulations for cinematography for the video go to Miguel Lopez and cast. Well done! It was nice to see that the administration, staff and students worked together. Second, congratulations to the politically correctness crowd, including board member Dave Honey and soon to be former Mayor Joan Faul for their fine predictable performance, as well.

The Alan Peterson response was appropriate as well. A super hero video vs. the bygone past years of property damage and vandalism goes un-noticed. I will take the cute video featuring a Nerf rifle (oh gasp! a toy gun) as the focus of the rivalry instead of property damage and vandalism any day.

Jacqueline Pennington, Atwater
