Carol Campodonica: Lincolns are great, when they’re not misfiring

This letter is for all automobile owners who own a Lincoln LS with a V8 engine. Lincoln cars manufactured from the year 2000 to the year 2006 have a problem of misfiring. In other words, the vehicle hesitates or stops’ working for a few seconds until the engine can reboot or start itself and begins working. It doesn’t matter how many times you change the coils, spark plugs or electrical equipment. The problem is located in the engine. My engine light came on and indicated an electrical problems. It did not solve the problem.

Ford Motor Company needs to recall our cars and fix the problem of misfiring. Engine work is expensive and takes hours. If anyone has experienced misfiring, or you have been rear-ended because of the misfiring that took place while driving, Ford is responsible.

There are four different telephone calls that should be made; the first is to the National Highway Administration at 800-327-4236 and then to both Lincoln (800-521-4140) and then Ford (800-392-3673). In adition, contact your representative in Congress to voice your concerns about the misfiring.

Lincoln cars are great!
