Mary Hofmann: Editor’s notes can help clear up misconceptions
Re “How many ‘motor voters’ are citizens?” (Letters, Oct. 22): A heartfelt thank you for the editor’s note following a recent letter expressing an opinion based on a factually incorrect premise. Everybody has a right to their opinions, but opinions range from wildly inaccurate to solidly based on demonstrable facts. When the former are printed without factual editorial notes, readers can be wildly misled. Please continue the good work!
