Eric Hamm: Consider a gift for those who are serving overseas
I am writing on behalf of the Blue Star Mothers. This national organization with a chapter in Merced includes mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military, guard or reserves, or children who are veterans. Every year, they organize Boxes for the Brave to collect needed items for our local military members to be sent at Christmas.
To see a list of items they need, go to: www.razzari.com/blue-star-moms-donations/
The Razzari Auto Centers has partnered with our Blue Star Mothers chapter to collect the things our military members need while away from home and family during the holidays. Donations are trickling in, but when you consider the needs of our local heroes, and the support our community has shown our military, I know we can do more.
Collection sites are open through Dec. 11, at which point everything will be packaged and sent overseas. If you are able, consider a donation for the holidays. You can also find a list of needed items on the Razzari Auto Centers website: www.razzari.com. Not only is your donation tax deductible, if your donation is valued over $20, The Razzari Auto Centers will give you a free oil change.
These brave men and women are overseas away from family and home during the holidays keeping us safe.Consider a gift to them. For more information, visit www.bluestarmothers.org/about-us
