Kathy Foster: Merced made Alzheimer’s Walk huge success
Thank you to Merced and surrounding communities for coming out to support the Merced Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Oct. 17 at Applegate Park. The committee is extremely excited that we were able to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and raise much-needed funds for research, programs and services.
A special thank you to Rep. Jim Costa for speaking at our event, for telling his story and for his support. I also wanted to thank all of our wonderful speakers, sponsors, team captains, team members, volunteers and all who donated to make our event such a success. Funds are still coming in, but we have raised over $50,500 to date.
