Alyssa Talbot: Visitor angry over fix-it ticket issued at Merced Mall

I was just curious if anyone is equally frustrated by the parking citations happening over at the Merced Mall? While taking my daughter school shopping, I got a silly parking ticket for not having a front license plate, which has never been a problem since having bought my car, without a front plate, in 2009. This ticket is going to cost me $226 – which is ridiculously too much. The fix-it is $10, but I don’t have the front plates and I don’t have the brackets.

The Merced police are looking to fund the city by harassing people who are trying to spend money in your town. Maybe next time I’ll keep my money in Stanislaus County.
