Mary Estrella: Remembering a friend who touched so many

I write this thinking of all the lives she touched in her lifetime. My friend, Patricia Hall, left us on Oct. 10 to go on her journey home after losing her last battle with cancer. She fought with all her being. Patricia left an impact on the community of Merced, being there for so many; her greatest joy was her family and friends, and helping those in need.

Her faith was amazing! She knew she would be leaving us, but up to the end she had a prayer list that she prayed for nightly; it included family, friends and people she had never met. Her smile lit up a room, and her love of volunteer work knew no bounds – she gave it her all.

Patrica lives on in all our lives, a woman of true faith, full of love, life and laughter. We will all miss you, Patricia, but we will live life as you said – with love and faith and laughter.

Mary Estrella, Merced
