Paul D. Jensen: Morse is going after his ‘pound of flesh’

It appears to me that District Attorney Larry D. Morse II is out to prove several things: He wants to show his son Ethan that his father will stand behind him. Also, the DA thinks the general public is so gullible that they will believe that he is not vindictive and/or out to get his “pound of flesh” from those who accused his son in a murder case by looking into the assignments of the arresting officer.

I believe Morse should rethink just what he is attempting to accomplish.

Having once served as a policeman and gone through military police training, I firmly believe that any person in law enforcement should be ready act when needed, where needed, as needed –regardless of other interests. In later years, I worked in a job where we were required to maintain a sort of “tick” sheet to show how much time was spent every day on each of the various projects. This might be of vital importance in some workplaces, but it is time consuming and should not be a deciding factor for law enforcement personnel in the performance of their daily tasks.
