Judy Brown: Jail isn’t supposed to be comfy
Re “Jail conditions terrible” (Letters, Dec. 12): People are living at the jail in terrible conditions – wow, did you forget they are in jail for a reason? They committed a crime. And, thanks to the most recent law passed, your can steal, do drugs, commit domestic violence and not go to jail – so one has to assume that those who are in the jail have committed much worse crimes. They have shelter, food and a place to sleep. That’s all they need.
If they want to live in a feather bed and eat T-bone steak they should not commit crimes! As for the animal shelter, those animals did nothing wrong – they just have stupid humans who don’t take care of them in most cases; they deserve better treatment.
