Ralph Morris: Trump’s own words disqualify him from public office
While all patriotic Americans share our nation’s concern for security and opposition to terrorism, Donald Trump’s proposal to “ban all Muslims from entering the United States” is clearly a betrayal of religious tolerance and the liberty upon which this nation was founded. Likewise, he intends to violate the due process and equal protection clauses of the 14th Amendment, as well as ignore separation of church and state in advocating a religious test for entry to our shores.
Either he has not read, does not care or does not understand the U.S. Constitution. Trump consistently demonstrates, through ignorance, rhetorical fear-mongering and demagoguery that he is unqualified for any federal office, much less the presidency.
