Adam Cox: Students at Venture Lab already working on biggest problems

Last week, the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce hosted a networking event at UC Merced’s Venture Lab in downtown Merced. We wanted to connect student-clients with local business leaders, offering support and encouragement to the next generation of thinkers and doers. What we found stunned us. The Venture Lab isn’t just a work space; it is an incubator out of which several brilliant ideas have begun to form into viable products.

Student-led businesses that are forming there that will change the world: they will save lives, create jobs and produce solutions for problems that our world currently faces and issues which do not yet exist. The Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce commends the University of California, Merced and the students of the Venture Lab, along with the city of Merced, who so generously provided the space. We eagerly await the great accomplishments to come.

Adam Cox, President/Ceo, Merced Chamber of Commerce, Merced
