Re: “WWII veteran finally receives Purple Heart after 70-year wait” (Page 1A, Feb. 20): A big thank you to Joan Bippus, Terry Prost and Debra Yeager for their involvement in getting this long overdue award to Cecil Stephens.
Our veterans of WWII, Vietnam and other wars are not to be forgotten. It’s wonderful to read of such news. History is all we have to look back on for our young people of today. Thank you for printing this wonderful story.
