David Rodriguez: Merced County needs more diversity on board of supervisors

There’s nothing more constant than change. When that comes to a halt, situations become stagnant. That has happened to our Merced County Board of Supervisors. They have become too relaxed in their political seats. I see the same old political signs, for the same old politicians. It is time for new leadership and direction. Merced has a wide range of diversity among its people.

That’s why I give my full support to Rodrigo Espinoza for District One. We need new supervisors who will acknowledge and respect the working class and their unions. We need new supervisors with a new outlook and with the full intent of helping communities within their districts. Diversity is our strength and I will vote for the person with character and integrity. To my bothers and sisters who are Hmong, Latino, black or white and who are running for political office: Do not forget your humble beginnings or all the people you will be representing. God bless and good luck. Si se puede.

David Rodriguez, Planada
