Ann Ruiz: We don’t need another novice in the White House

Presidential candidate Donald Trump has gotten a generous amount of news coverage. He espouses “America will be great again” under his presidency.

We have been down this road before when President Barack Obama was a presidential candidate. A vote for him would be a “vote for change.” At the time, Sen. Obama didn’t elaborate as to how “the change” would come about. But people voted for the hope; they believed the sincerity of the charismatic candidate from Illinois, and not a U.S. senator from Arizona.

This time, the presidential candidate is loud, demeaning, practices braggadocio and displays aggressive tendencies. Those who have been keeping up with the political scene can deduct that Trump doesn’t have the demeanor, temperament nor experience to be commander in chief – much less king! Are we willing to trust another novice for four years of on-the-job training? The choice is ours.
