Ann Smith: Marijuana already available in Merced, why bother talking about it?
Why is the Merced City Council wasting everyone’s time with this meeting on medical marijuana? It’s a joke; they have proven that it doesn’t matter. There are three smoke shops in Merced selling pot out the back doors right on Main Street. Plus, Kiona’s Pharmacy has not only been raided multiple times but reopened in a new location. Why is Merced wasting its time when you don’t need a license, just a fake storefront or call yourself a medical office. Why is the police department allowing this? Are they just turning a blind eye, or lining their pockets?
