Tom Reta: Pedrozzo’s had enough time; give Espinoza a spot on the board
Thanks to the Sun-Star for running the county supervisor candidate statements on April 28. The incumbent District 1 supervisors statements now and in the past are sprinkled with phrases such as “we need to,” “we should have,” “we have to find a way.” Wouldn’t you think that after three terms on the board this man “should” have been able to accomplish something for the good of the county and its residents? What has he done except to appear at almost every social event and get a photo taken that usually always appears in a newspaper? It matters a great deal to do your job not only in District 1 but in the other districts as well.
It is time for a change; time to replace this person who is seemingly running for office throughout the entire year. Let us replace him with someone who actually has the interests ability to do the important work in district one.
That person is Rodrigo Espinoza the current mayor of Livingston. Espinoza would be a perfect fit to represent south Merced, Planada, LeGrand and the Livingston area as well as all of the County. He is experienced in governmental affairs, farming activities and person-to-person communications. Espinoza truly deserves the support of all voters and residents of District 1.
