Joan Porath: Whoever abandoned five puppies, left them in harm’s way
Shame on the person who abandoned five puppies on Vaughn Avenue near McSwain School the week of April 16! I called animal control. The kind officer set a trap on our property and the animals were trapped and picked up that Friday. We put food and water out during the week. However, the dogs were loose on the busy school access road, putting them and drivers in danger.
How can someone be so cruel and uncaring? If you don’t want your animals, take them to the shelter in Atwater so they can be cared for properly, out of harms way, and hopefully adopted. The officer who took care of the situation was extremely kind, concerned and did her job well and with compassion. Thank you so much!
