Darlene Wolfe: Robert Means meant so very much to so many Merced kids

Merced lost a driving force for education last week, Robert Means passed away, peacefully with his family by his side. Means taught my children and many of their friends at Merced High School. I didn’t personally know Means, but from all I have heard and read in the past few days, he was one heck of a wonderful teacher, neighbor, friend and human being. I, for one, am grateful my children were exposed to such a powerful man, who showed them “a hunk of Roots” and led by example, of how to be an honorable person. Means can rest in peace knowing that he was loved and made such a difference in the lives of those who were privileged to have been his student. From one very grateful mother: Thanks Robert Means, from the bottom of my heart.
