Melissa Bargas: Merced has some big-hearted neighbors
When our dog Dora went missing from our yard last week, we were fortunate to have pet-friendly neighbors and the SPCA. We want to thank the good Samaritan who witnessed Dora being hit by a car and took her in overnight. The next day, Brandy from the SPCA picked up Dora and took her to a vetrinarian. Luckily, Dora was only slightly injured. But the big breakthrough came when we received phone calls from people who had seen our lost pet ad in the Merced Sun-Star. They informed me of another ad posted in the “found animal” section that fit Dora’s description, and that’s how we found Dora!
She is now home and safe. They’re help in finding Dora will never be forgotten.
