Leonard Ashley: Claims against Clinton are false
Re “Hillary lied, but no one cares” (Letters, July 9): It seems that Mr. Silva has been reading too much of the Republicans slanted way of writing.
He stated Hillary had lied about her emails. Hillary said she didn't knowingly send any confidential email and she didn't. None of the emails sent to her was marked with the proper markings at the top and bottom as was required. She simply forwarded them and after she was no longer at the State Department, the Republicans marked them and stated Hillary had sent classified material on her private server. Mr. Silva said only Republicans are prosecuted for their actions.
What about the secretaries of state before Hillary – Colin Powel and Condoleezza Rice? They both had private servers, like Hillary, and used them. They should have been called in front of the committee Rep. Kevin McCarthy said was started to keep Hillary's numbers down. It doesn't matter if they've had seven hearings and spent more than $7,000,000 and now they're going to start more hearings. What for? Every answer is the same.
By the way, the Clinton Foundation was started by President Bill Clinton and Hillary has no part in it.
