Juan Eduardo Alvear: A prayer to end the death penalty

The next amendment to the U.S. Constitution, so we pray to you oh Lord, for the death penalty to be eradicated. It is a poison that destroys the values this Constitution stand for, which is the respect for the dignity of the human person and the sanctity of life – a gift to all from above. Hence, the power of committee moves to a ratification of this constitutional amendment and put to practice in the States of the Union and immediately abolish the death penalty. Take not long in answering our prayers.

Juan Eduardo Alvear, Merced
