Listeria hits only about 1,600 people in the United States each year, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Precention, but about 260 of them die. The most vulnerable people to the worst from listeria are infants and senior citizens. Pregnant women can suffer miscarriages and stillbirths. Usually, people suffer flu-like symptoms, fever, headaches, muscle stiffness, sometimes confusion or seizures.
The company-written, FDA-posted recall notice said Doehler “discovered the problem via internal testing of its products. The products were distributed between July 1, 2025 and July 25 and sold in Sam’s Club retail stores.”
