Amateur MMA event coming to Merced

Hoplite Fight Production is bringing a night of amateur MMA fights to Merced on March 28. The event will feature up to 15 fights at Yosemite Hall at the Merced County Fairgrounds.

The main event features Merced’s Sergio Guerrero vs. Joseph Souza. Local fighters Rodrigo Garcia and Matt Moran also are scheduled to be on the card.

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., with the event scheduled to start at 5. Tickets can be purchased at Merced MMA at 745 West Main Street. Tickets are $40 (general), $55 (VIP) or $80 (ringside).
