The Merced/Atwater Women's 500 Club will be hosting their yearly Scotch Doubles Tournament on Sunday, July 8 starting at 1:30 p.m.

The tourney is open to all USBC card members and the teams can consist of men and women. A Merced/Atwater club member does not have to be a member of a team. You will be using your highest 2017-2018 composite averages as found on Bowl.com.

I think you know the routine as one bowler rolls the first ball, and the other bowler second (trying to pick up the spare left by the first bowler). If the first bowler rolls a strike, positions switch. You will be rolling four games of regular bowling on one pair of lanes.

Entry fee is $25 per bowlers and they will have a 50/50 and mulligan's during the afternoon. Entry forms are now available at the trophy case at Bellevue Bowl. closing date for entries if Friday, July 6. Get your team ready to roll.

NO-TAP DOUBLES FROM McHENRY

The middle of the house was full of men and women double teams trying their luck last Friday afternoon at McHenry Bowl in Modesto. The Bellevue women took the spotlight this time as in the women's high game pot in the first game taking first was Kim Heller with a 303, Heller in the third game has another 300 game, a 311. Linda Roach finally had her new ball smoking in the second game with a 302, and then took first in the third game with a 339.

The men did not fare too well this time as we only had Jerry McMillian taking third place in the third game with a 285. The overall double team winners were Mike and Debra Silva from Sonora with a 1,747 for first pace. In second was the team of Bob and Kim Heller with a 1,682, and in third was Linda Roach and Yolanda Walsh with a 1,653.

Up next for the seniors will be the no-tap singles up at Black Oak Lanes on Friday, July 6 at 1:30 p.m. Remember, this is a prepaid event. If you're interest in rolling give them a call and give them all your information at 209-928-9437 and ask for Jeff Hurley.

PBA PRO-AM PRIZE LIST

The following league member's from Bellevue Bowl received their Pro-Am checks from the Vanessa Brown PBA Regional tournament held at Yosemite Lanes recently. In the Adult pro-am LaDonna Stone took eighth place with an overall score of 1,675, which included her score and the scores of the the three pro's bowling with her for $50.

In the Senior pro-am division Mickey Wallbaum finished in sixth place finish with a total of 1,729 for $80. In seventh place was Diane Erreca with a 1,723 for $70. T.J. Rowen came in 10th with a 1,713 for $60. Dave Egleston was a double dipper as he placed in 14th with a 1,706 for $50 and came back in 17th with 1,695 for $40. Ed "Slick" Huddleston came in 21th with a 1,682 for $40.

Overall it was a great showing for our Bellevue bowlers. In the Pro-Am senior division they had close to 100 entries. All the bowlers had a chance to roll with three professionals during the day. So, we did well.
