Local Roundup: St. Pat's softball dominates Redwood Christian

St. Pat's 22, Redwood Christian 12
The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High softball team's offense came alive on Tuesday, collecting 14 hits and winning 22-12 over Redwood Christian.
The Bruins were led by three-hit game from Alliana Jones and a two-hit, three RBI game from Taylor Etchieson. Alondra Barba, Jaquelyn Benito and Savannah Drummer all had two-hit games for the Bruins.
St. Pat's is now 7-7, and 5-2 in the Tri-County Athletic League.
Badminton
El Cerrito 9, Bethel 8
The Bethel High badminton team lost a tight game to El Cerrito on Tuesday, 9-8.
Girls single wins came from Melody Tigbao and Betzayda Gonzalez, while boys singles' wins came from Crisanto Mendoza, Montrey Masalaysay, Ethan Concepcion, Hindeshin Langit.
Bethel is now 2-6 in the Tri-County Athletic League.
Baseball
Ygancio Valley 12, Vallejo 2
The Vallejo High baseball team lost to Ygnacio Valley on Tuesday 12-2 in the first of a two-game series this week.
The Redhawks were led in the loss by Andre Sanders, who had two hits. David Bernstine III, Josue Gutierrez and Jacob Pallais had the other hits for Vallejo.
Vallejo concludes the two-game series on Thursday at home.
Justin-Siena 10, American Canyon 5
The American Canyon High baseball team lost to Justin-Siena 10-5 on Tuesday.
The Wolves were led by two-hit games from Cole Gholar, Tyler Tran and Denali Dilley, while Andre Lopez, Isaac Anderson and Mike Terrell and Max Kane all had a hit and scored at least one run.
Gholar threw two innings on the mound and gave up one hit while striking out one.
Bethel 16, Kennedy 2
For the second time in eight days, the Bethel High baseball team defeated Kennedy, this time 16-2.
With the win Bethel improved to 7-9 overall and 4-2 in the Tri-County Athletic League.
Benicia 3, Acalanes 2
The Benicia High baseball team defeated Acalanes 3-2 on Tuesday.
With the victory, Benicia improved to 10-4 overall and 1-0 in the Diablo Valley Athletic League
