The Likeliest Landing Spots for Dianna Russini After Mike Vrabel Scandal

After resigning from The Athletic last week following compromising photos of her and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel being published in Page Six, Dianna Russini may choose to keep a low profile for a while.

But where will she land once this scandal blows over?

It's highly unlikely she goes back to ESPN, where she was before departing to join The Athletic in 2023. The same can be said for NBC and CBS.

Russini already has a standing job offer on the table from longtime friend and Fox Sports radio host John "Stugotz" Weiner.

"I’ll tell you this on the front end of any Dianna Russini discussion I’m going to have," Weiner recently said. "If The Athletic gets rid of her, she’ll be sitting right next to me and Izzy doing the [‘Stugotz and Company'] show. I support my friends. I don’t bail on my friends, especially at their worst professional time."

Others have speculated she could make her way to "The Dan Le Batard Show" given her close friendship with host Dan Le Batard, who's one of a few national radio hosts to not completely write Russini off.

Sports Illustrated's Jimmy Traina also proposed two other potential future employers: Fox and Barstool Sports.

"Fox has repeatedly shown that it doesn't care about a person's past and will hire pretty much anyone," Traina wrote. "I am not comparing what Russini allegedly did in any way, shape or form to what these people did, but Fox has hired Michael Vick, Pete Rose and many others who have taken hits to their reputation, so there's no reason to believe Russini couldn't land there.

"… Barstool has to be a strong possibility. This just seems like the right fit based on her personality. Russini has been a regular guest on ‘Pardon My Take' for a long time and they have the money to pay her."
