These Are the 10 Best Tight End Seasons in Fantasy Football History
Full PPR has produced a much smaller group of consistent monster tight end seasons than wide receiver, which is part of what makes the position so hard to fill. The best years came from players who combined elite catch volume with true wide receiver-level yardage and touchdown production.
This list uses the same standard full-PPR scoring system as the WR version, and not a single tight end would have cracked the top 10 at receiver. That is not said to detract from their excellence, so it's time to give credit where it's due.
The Top 10 Tight End Fantasy Seasons Ever
10) Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles (2018): 280.3 points
Ertz caught 116 passes for 1,163 yards and eight touchdowns. In full PPR, that then-record reception total is what pushed the season into the top 10.
9) Todd Christensen, Los Angeles Raiders (1983): 288.7 points
Christensen posted 92 catches for 1,247 yards and 12 touchdowns. That stat line still holds up as one of the strongest fantasy seasons at the position four decades later.
8) Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints (2011): 294.0 points
The explosive Graham finished with 99 catches, 1,310 yards, and 11 touchdowns. That season gave him his first entry on the all-time board, and it is still one of the best touchdown-volume years by a tight end.
7) Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (2018): 294.6 points
Long before he was known for his love life, Kelce cleared 100 catches with 1,336 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Seasons like this are why he helped change the fantasy ceiling at the position.
6) Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens (2021): 301.1 points
Andrews caught 107 passes for 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns. The yardage total stands out here, since very few tight ends have ever pushed past 1,300-yard threshold.
5) Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints (2013): 303.5 points
Graham followed his 2011 season with 86 catches, 1,215 yards, and 16 touchdowns two years later. The reception and yardage totals dipped from his monster 2011 effort, but the touchdown outburst pushed this season higher up the list.
4) Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (2020): 312.8 points
Kelce put up 105 catches for 1,416 yards and 11 touchdowns in only 15 games. That yardage total is the highest the position has ever produced, which is largely why this season sits so high.

3) Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals (2025): 315.9 points
Breaking the positional catch record, McBride reeled in 126 passes for 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns. He set personal highs in all three categories and proved capable of finding the end zone with the best of them.
2) Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (2022): 316.3 points
The seasoned veteran racked 110 catches, 1,338 yards, and 12 touchdowns in his eighth year. Kelce drew a career-high 152 targets but has struggled to approach the same level of success since this masterful performance.
1) Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots (2011): 330.9 points
Gronkowski still owns the top spot. He posted 90 catches, 1,327 receiving yards, 17 receiving touchdowns, and one rushing score. No tight end season has topped that combination of scoring, and the yardage sits sixth on the all-time list for tight ends.
