Drake Maye Issues First Comment On Mike Vrabel, Dianna Russini Scandal

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye issued his first public comment on the Mike Vrabel, Dianna Russini scandal on Wednesday.

The Patriots third-year quarterback, who is fresh off a Super Bowl appearance, was asked about Vrabel's scandal with the former NFL insider at a charity event on Wednesday evening in New England.

Maye, a first round pick out of North Carolina in 2024, showed support for his head coach. He offered public support in an interview with Jonathan Hall of 7 News in Boston.

Maye said that he and the team are behind Vrabel.

"We're here for coach, we love coach…we know he's dealing with some stuff off the field and out of the coaching world but we're here for him and I know he's gonna come back," Maye said.

Vrabel, who is married, has been caught in some intimate moments with Russini, a now-former NFL insider at The Athletic.

Multiple photos of Vrabel and Russini over the course of the last six years have leaked via outlets like Page Six and TMZ Sports.

Patriots players are showing their support, though

Patriots linebacker Robert Spillane said he's behind him, too.

"Coach coaches football and he keeps the main thing, the main thing," Spillane said. "I know he's dealing with personal issues, but when we're in the building, we speak football."

Tight end Hunter Henry shared similar comments.

"Obviously I know you guys want to hear about everything that's going on," Henry said. "To be honest with you, I'm focused on what we got going on right now in this building, with this team. Obviously had a long season last year, quick turnaround into the offseason, we're in a new building. And every year is a new year, so we're trying to build this team, we're trying to come together, so I'm just focused on the guys in this locker room, and trying to build it from the ground up again. We have a long journey ahead of us; we have to start somewhere, so we're starting right now."
