Drake Maye Doubles Down on Support of Mike Vrabel Amid Off-Field Drama
April was a troublesome month for New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, who had photos published by Page Six showing him alongside longtime NFL reporter Dianna Russini.
Since then, Russini has resigned from her role at The Athletic, Vrabel has addressed the media, and several additional reports have surfaced regarding their alleged relationship.
Despite the outside noise, Vrabel's players have continued to stand by him, including franchise quarterback Drake Maye, who doubled down on his support for his head coach on Wednesday.
"He's our head coach. I think he's done a great job of talking to us and talking us through it. I'm just looking forward to getting back to work and getting ready," Maye said during the Truist Championship Pro-Am. "I know he's got the right mindset, and I know he's a great human being. Like I said, I love playing for him."

Maye first broke his silence regarding Vrabel's off-field scandal on April 29 and echoed similar sentiments in his comments on Wednesday.
"We're here for coach, we love coach. What he's done for us this past year, you can't really put into words," Maye said. "Thankfully, he's our head coach. He's dealing with some stuff off the field and outside the coaching world, but we're here for him and we know he'll come back strong."
Vrabel missed Day 3 of the NFL draft while reportedly dealing with counseling related to the fallout from the situation, but he has since returned to the building and is expected to address the media again later this month when OTAs begin.
