The Patriots Immediately Get Mocked For Their Mother's Day Post

The New England Patriots, like every other sports franchise, sent out a generic "Happy Mother's Day" post to their fans on social media.

It did not go over well.

The Patriots' head coach, Mike Vrabel, is currently embroiled in a scandal with a married, mother of two NFL reporter, Dianna Russini. Vrabel and Russini have been photographed in intimate settings over the past several years. Vrabel apologized for his behavior, while Russini resigned from her position.

On Sunday, the Patriots celebrated Mother's Day, but instead of the typical "Happy Mother's Day!" back posts from fans, they were inundated with jokes about Vrabel and Russini.

The Patriots shared the following message to their 4.4 million fans.

"Happy Mother's Day Pats Nation," they wrote.

It went as expected.

"Happy Mother's Day indeed," one fan wrote.

"No comment," one fan joked.

"I haven't looked through all the comments yet, but I can't imagine it's going to be pretty," another suggested.

"Always remember to check those scheduled tweets," one added.

"Havent even looked at the comments & I already know what's up lol," another shared.

"Happy Mother's day to Jen Vrabel!" one added.

"So happy, your head coach celebrates it for two different women!" another shared.

Happy Mother's Day, indeed.
