Patriots Rookie Quintayvious Hutchins Facing Domestic Assault Charge

As if this offseason wasn't hectic enough for the New England Patriots, they just learned that a member of their rookie class has been charged with domestic assault and battery.

Quintayvious Hutchins, the 247th overall pick from this year's draft, was involved in an alleged incident in Newton this Tuesday. Details regarding this situation are unknown at this time. All we know for certain is that he pleaded not guilty this Wednesday morning.

"We are aware of the report involving Quintayvious Hutchins," a Patriots spokesperson said. "We take these matters very seriously and are in the process of gathering additional information. We will not have further comment at this time."

Hutchins, who played at Boston College, put himself on the map by racking up 66 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble over the past two seasons.

Rocky offseason for the AFC champions.

The Patriots are already dealing with the messy situation Mike Vrabel put himself in. He was spotted with former Athletic reporter Dianna Russini at a hotel in late March. After more photos were leaked by Page Six, the reigning Coach of the Year announced that he would miss Day 3 of the NFL Draft to undergo counseling.

Multiple players on the Patriots, including Drake Maye, have voiced their support for Vrabel.

"I mean, he's our head coach. I think he's done a great job of talking to us and talking us through it. I'm just looking forward to getting back to work and getting ready," Patriots quarterback Drake Maye said. "I know he's got the right mindset, and I know he's a great human being. I think he's … like I said, I love playing for him."

We'll see if the Patriots overcome all these obstacles.
