Miley Cyrus Emerges As 'Heavy Favorite' For Super Bowl 61 Halftime Show

We're roughly eight months away from Super Bowl 61, and yet, there's already a ton of speculation about the halftime show at SoFi Stadium.

Bad Bunny did an excellent job generating buzz for this year's Super Bowl halftime show, performing "DTMF" and "Titi Me Pregunto" among other hits. He finished his performance by shouting out every country in North and South America. As he was listing off each country, the big screen at Levi's Stadium had this message on it: "The only thing more powerful than hate is love."

Despite some outrage online, Bad Bunny's show averaged 128.2 million viewers on NBC. He also generated over 4 billion social views in the first 24 hours.

"Bad Bunny is, and I think that was demonstrated last night, one of the great artists in the world and that's one of the reasons we chose him," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said. "But the other reason is he understood the platform he was on and this platform is used to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talents and to be able to use this moment to do that and I think artists in the past have done that."

So who'll follow up Bad Bunny halftime performance? There were initially rumblings about the NFL going with the trio of Karol G, Camila Cabello and Becky G for Super Bowl 61.

FanDuel Sportsbook, meanwhile, had Miley Cyrus and Cardi B as the early favorites for the gig.

As of now, the NFL hasn't selected a performer for next February's Super Bowl halftime show. Polymarket, however, has Cyrus as a "heavy favorite" to perform at SoFi Stadium.

Would Miley Cyrus be interested in performing at the Super Bowl?

During an interview with Variety, Cyrus discussed the possibility of her headlining a Super Bowl halftime show. Although she believes there'd be a ton of pressure on her plate, she's not exactly avoiding the challenge.

"I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure," Cyrus said. "I would have to do the mental work of making it not about the Super Bowl, because then you can't help but go, 'It's millions of people, and it's the most-watched thing in the world.' But if I could find a way to make it exactly what the Hannahversary was - taking a journey through the discography and appreciating each song, each era for what it is - I think I could find it in myself."

Would you like to see Cyrus headline the halftime show for Super Bowl 61?
