Giants Make Decision After Odell Beckham Jr., JuJu Smith-Schuster Workout
There seems to be a lot of hope around the New York Giants organization after former Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh was hired this past offseason.
However, with OTAs underway, star wide receiver Malik Nabers might not be ready for Week 1 as he recovers from a torn ACL.
On top of that, wide receiver and return man Gunner Olszewski tore his Achilles on Friday, so the WR room is looking more thin at the moment.
Wad'Dale Robinson also left and signed a deal in free agency with the Tennessee Titans. On Monday, the Giants hosted a few wide receivers on a workout, including JuJu Smith-Schuster, Anthony Miller, Braxton Berris and former Giants first-round pick Odell Beckham Jr.
Harbaugh spoke about the possibility of Beckham coming back earlier in the offseason, with the Giants' new coach saying the two have "maintained a great relationship."
In the end, the Giants have now decided to sign Berrios, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Berrios was a sixth-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2018, but he began his NFL career with the New York Jets, spending four seasons there.
He then spent two years with the Miami Dolphins before playing in four games in 2025 with the Houston Texans.

The four: Odell Beckham Jr., JuJu Smith-Schuster, Braxton Berrios and Anthony Miller.
Olszewski's primary role on the team was as a returner, and Berrios has more experience there than the other pass-catchers, although beat writer Art Stapleton doesn't think that was a deciding factor in the choice to sign Berrios.
Could the Giants Add Another WR?
Beckham returning to the Giants made sense all along, so the decision not to sign him at this moment is a little bit of a surprise.
According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, Beckham's workout went "really well" on Monday.

Beckham last played in the NFL in 2024, when he appeared in nine games for the Miami Dolphins and caught just nine passes.
In 2023, he played for John Harbaugh on the Baltimore Ravens, playing in 14 games while recording 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
There could be a path to Beckham joining the Giants later, but for now, Berrios has landed the deal after the workout.
