Wild Adam Schefter Prediction Fuels Aaron Donald NFL Comeback Buzz

When the Los Angeles Rams pulled off the blockbuster trade for Cleveland Browns edge-rusher Myles Garrett last week, one of the first things fans started asking was whether or not the team could convince defensive tackle Aaron Donald to come out of retirement to play alongside him.

A video of Donald working out on social media with the caption "ready" with the song "Ain't Done" playing was posted days before the trade on his social media, which got fans thinking an NFL could be a real possibility for the future Hall of Famer.

And now, ESPN insider Adam Schefter is fueling the Donald comeback rumors with what he recently said on the "Adam Schefter Podcast."

"When you talk to all the people involved, nobody is coming out right now and saying, ‘Aaron Donald is coming back.' But everybody is acknowledging that it is a possibility,” Schefter stated.

"And the fact that it is even a possibility in June tells me that I think there’s every possibility it will become more real in July. And I think, if and when they present a plan to him as to how he would be used, I think it’s more likely than not that he’ll be back.

"… It still sounds like we're a ways away. He has not gotten there yet. But the fact that this is even coming up, and the fact that the Rams have the team that they do, and the fact that Aaron Donald would get to play with Myles Garrett, and the fact that the Super Bowl is in L.A. this year - I just think the ingredients are there to make it happen."

Schefter's off-the-cuff projection immediately got fans talking on social media.

Rams fans acknowledged that Schefter was just offering an educated guess about what Donald would do, but that didn't stop them from dreaming about a Donald-Garrett team-up next season.

"I'd put my money on Schefter being right on this being more likely than not …," one fan stated.

"This is guesswork territory, but none better at it than Schefty. Would they be the best pass rushing tandem of all time?" a second fan noted.

"If that happens just give the Rams the trophy bro talk about a superteam," another fan replied.

"Rams about to be the Avengers 😂," a third fan posted.

"If Aaron Donald comes out of retirement, that'll be the scariest defensive line of all time," one user pointed out.

"Every NFL fan knows the chances are never zero when the player is still in elite shape. 👀," another user said.

"Rams winning it all if AD comes back," a third user exclaimed.
