Spurs Star Dylan Harper's Father, NBA Champion Ron Harper, Calls Out Nick Wright

Nick Wright of FS1's "First Things First" isn't afraid to take shots at the San Antonio Spurs, that's for sure.

While some media members have refrained from ripping San Antonio's young core, Wright has made it clear that he's not going to beat around the bush. During this Monday's episode of "First Things First," he put Mitch Johnson's squad on blast for repeatedly blowing double-digit leads against the New York Knicks.

"A horse with a great opening kick, that always wears down and gets caught at the wire didn't dominate a race," Wright said. "That's what the Spurs were. A great 1st quarter team that simply couldn't finish. The idea that they "dominated" big stretches of the series is delusional."

Wright then took aim at Victor Wembanyama and his shortcomings in crunch time of the NBA Finals.

"I don't know how you can walk away from this series and think Victor Wembanyama is better than Jalen Brunson," said Wright. "The single most important trait is the ability to go get a bucket. Jalen Brunson is as good as anyone to go get a bucket."

That second statement from Wright didn't sit well with Ron Harper, the father of Spurs guard Dylan Harper.

Harper, who won five NBA championships during his career, made it clear that he's tired of listening to Wright.

"Shut up," Harper tweeted at the Fox Sports personality.

There's no doubt Dylan Harper made a name for himself.

After the Spurs lost Game 5 at home, Devin Vassell referred to Harper as a "a star in the making."

Even though Dylan Harper didn't start in the Finals, he averaged 18.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per hame for the Spurs. An argument can be made that he didn't play enough when it really mattered.

We can't wait to see what Harper has in store for fans in Year 2.
