Six potential landing spots if Patriots look to deal Kayshon Boutte

After skipping volunteer organized team activities this spring, Kayshon Boutte stuck out at New England Patriots mini-camp a couple weeks ago.

The fourth-year wide receiver wasn't afraid to talk about his current state of limbo as it pertains to his football future. With free-agent pickup Romeo Doubs and A.J. Brown in New England via trade, Boutte has been a hot topic in the National Football League trade rumor mill.

"Nobody on the team can really control (the trade rumors). At the end of the day, it's about me, nobody else," he said of his status. "It is what's going to be the best for me, whether it's here or somewhere else. I want to be here, but we'll see how it goes.

"I wouldn't mind being here. I do want to be here obviously."

The fact that he and Brown play the "X" outside receiver position, Boutte, who caught 33 passes for 551 yards and five TDs last year, understands how the game is played. He was at mini-camp, because, as he said, "It's mandatory, I'm here now."

But where might he be when training camps open for real in July? Here are five potential landing spots for Boutte if, as the reports state, New England is looking to move him.

Buffalo Bills

Yes, D.J. Moore takes the lead role for Josh Allen, but the rest of the crew in Buffalo – Mecole Hardman, Keon Coleman, Josh Palmer and Khalil Shakir – have to be considered rather pedestrian.

Las Vegas Raiders

Vegas might have the worst receiver corps in football, and rookie top pick Fernando Mendoza deserves better.

Houston Texans

Things definitely get a tad thin after Nico Collins, and much hinges on the potential return of Tank Dell after missing all of 2025 with a knee injury.

Washington Commanders

After Terry McLaurin, Washington has nothing but question marks on the outside, with 2026 third-round pick Antonio Williams and free-agent pickup Van Jefferson looking to step in. Brandon Aiyuk and Stefon Diggs have been rumored to have interest, but why not Boutte?

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have Jalen Reagor in camp. Enough said about their lack of talent at the position.

Green Bay Packers

A Boutte deal would ease the Green Bay pain of losing Doubs to the Patriots in free agency if the price is right.
