Yankees Fans Demanding Changes As Losing Streak Reaches 7 Games
New York Yankees fans are fed up with yet another summer swoon.
New York entered the 2026 MLB season with high hopes, expecting to contend at the top of the American League. The Yankees, as they typically do, got off to a hot start in April and May. However, the summer months have been problematic.
The Yankees dropped to 48-37 on the season on Wednesday, as the Bronx Bombers lost their seventh straight game. After getting swept by the Boston Red Sox in a four-game series, the Yankees were swept by the Detroit Tigers in a three-game set.
New York's losing streak has reached seven games.
The Yankees have been playing without MVP candidate Aaron Judge, who is sidelined for at least another week or two with a rib fracture, but the rest of their team hasn't picked up the slack.
New York fans are placing the blame in a different spot, though.
Yankees fans are fed up with manager Aaron Boone and the leader of the front office, Brian Cashman.
New York fans urging changes after 7-game losing streak
Yankees fans want to see something change, whether it's in the coaching staff or with the front office.
"Hey @Yankees , another abysmal game. No heart. No fundamentals. No leadership. Fire Cashman and Boone immediately. Let me know if you need any more help with these common sense solutions," one fan wrote.
"I'm out until Boone and Cashman are fired, not investing another second in this franchise…. I'm rooting for the team mattingly coaches from now on," one fan added.
"It's absolutely incredible how long Boone and Cashman have been here. Laughing stock of the league," one fan added.
"So are we ready to fire Cashman and Boone yet or nah?" one fan added.
"The Yankees change coaches, players, facial hair...these stretches still pop up every year. Couldn't be the manager and GM's fault though," another fan said sarcastically.
The Yankees aren't likely to make any sweeping changes, though it's clear that their team is fan base getting frustrated.
