Dallas Goedert Snubbed from NFL's Top-10 List

Dallas Goedert is an integral part of the Philadelphia Eagles offense and one of their most important pass catchers.

But the NFL world didn't see things that way.

Goedert was left off the NFL's top-10 list of best tight ends as judged by coaches, scouts and executives and compiled by ESPN.

Goedert was in the "also receiving votes" category, after falling from seventh to ninth on the list last season.

Goedert finished third on the Eagles in catches (60) -- a career high -- and receiving yards (591) behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. He also led Philadelphia in receiving touchdowns (11).

Dallas Goedert Left off NFL's List of top-10 Tight Ends

Goedert led all tight ends in touchdowns and was tied for 10th among all NFL tight ends in receptions, even with Hunter Henry of the New England Patriots, while only playing 15 games in 2025.

Goedert has now topped 500 yards in six of the past seven years -- he only fell short due to his only playing 10 games in his injury-riddled 2024 season. His 2025 stellar season earned him a one-year, $7 million contract from the Eagles in March.

But even after another remarkably consistent campaign, Goedert continues to be overshadowed by bigger names.

Tucker Kraft of the Green Bay Packers landed No. 6 on the list, despite tearing his ACL in Week 9. Travis Kelce, whose best days are behind him and who announced 2026 will be his final season, was ranked No. 10.

Eagles fans could make an obvious case that Goedert had a better year than both in 2025, especially given his 93.8% red-zone target rate (1st among tight ends) and 86.7% red-zone catch rate (2nd) per Fantasy Pros.

But with Smith and Brown commanding much of the glory to novice fans, and quarterback Jalen Hurts having a down year in 2025, Goedert's leaguewide star suffered.

Dallas Goedert has a Chance for Another big Year in 2026

It may seem contradictory for a 30-plus-year-old tight to get more glory. But Goedert has that chance in 2026.

Goedert's huge season in 2025 came in a new-contract year, since he was playing on another one-year contract.

But with Brown now in New England, and the Eagles' receiving corps both inexperienced and in flux, Goedert is going to be old reliable again for Hurts, especially in the middle of the field.

So when checking the ESPN list of best tight ends next season, Goedert's name should be in the top-10 for 2027.
