There will be a champagne toast at midnight, followed by a buffet of biscuits and gravy, sausage, fried potatoes and fresh fruit. Pre-paid registration is required at $20 per person. For info or to sign up, call the center at (209) 358-6466.
Senior singles tournament
Our association will hold its annual Senior Singles handicap tournament on Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. at Bellevue. There will be two divisions, based on age. The A division is 50-64, and B is 65 and up. Entry fee is $25, and you will use your 2013-14 book average.
I’d like to see the tournament expand to include more age groups. Maybe that’s something our vice president, Tom Brewer, and the board of managers can look into for next year.
