Atwater Aviators hosting youth baseball camp

The Atwater Aviators will host their Youth Baseball Camp Wednesday through Friday at Memorial Ballpark in Atwater.

The camp will be held from 8 a.m. to noon for boys and girls ages 6 to 15. The cost is $85 for three days or $50 for one day. Aviators manager Tynan Pedretti is the camp director.

Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day, appropriate dress for the weather, a baseball glove and any other sports gear. Registration is first come, first served.

Each camper will receive five tickets to an Aviators game. Campers will be introduced and escort the Aviators’ players to their positions before a home game.

UC Merced men’s basketball to host boys camp

The UC Merced men’s basketball team will host a boys individual skills camp at UC Merced on Aug. 14.

The camp is intended for boys ages 13 to 18 and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $85 per person or a group rate of $70 per child for four or more participants. The camp includes a T-shirt, lunch, Gatorade, a campus tour and personal instruction from the Bobcats’ coaching staff and players.
