Fresno State coaches to appear in Merced on Wednesday

The Bulldog Express Tour through the Central Valley this week includes a quick stop at the Merced Boys and Girls Club on Wednesday.

The tour features Fresno State athletic director Jim Bartko and coaches Tim DeRuyter (football), Rodney Terry (men’s basketball), Troy Steiner (wrestling) and Jeanne Fleck (swimming and diving).

The North Valley portion of the trip, starting in Madera and concluding in Modesto, will be held Wednesday. The group will be in Merced from 11 a.m. to noon. Fans can meet Bartko and the coaches, get autographs or photos and chat about the upcoming seasons.

The Bulldog Express Tour then will head to the 10 East Kitchen & Taphouse in Turlock from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Galletto Ristorante in Modesto from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The tour stopped in Hanford and Caruthers on Monday and will go to Firebaugh on Tuesday.

The Merced Boys and Girls Club is located at 615 West 15th St.
