Pacheco’s Rodoni nearly perfect in softball win over Livingston
Gia Rodoni had a memorable first game back from an extended rest due to shoulder discomfort. The Pacheco High School pitcher and future Baylor player tossed a five-inning no-hitter, striking out all 16 batters she faced and hitting a two-run home run in a 15-0 victory.
A dropped third strike allowed a lone Livingston player to reach base, denying Pacheco the perfect game but allowing Rondi to gain the rare 16th strikeout in a 15-out game.
