Chowchilla’s Pope celebrates her signing with Nevada

Chowchilla High senior Jana Pope made her college choice official last week when she signed her national letter of intent to play softball at Nevada-Reno.

The left-handed pitcher was joined by friends, coaches, teammates and family during a ceremony at the high school.

Pope has compiled a 29-12 career record at Chowchilla with 404 strikeouts in just under 277 innings.
