High school all-star games this week in Merced, Livingston, Tracy

There will be three high school all-star sporting events this week.

The first event is the Inaugural Paul Leonardo Memorial WAC vs. CCC Softball All-Star Game on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Livingston High. The game will feature all-league players from the Western Athletic Conference against all-Central California Conference selections.

The sixth annual Merced County All-Star Baseball Game will be held Saturday at Merced College. Introductions are scheduled for 7 p.m. with the game scheduled to start at 7:15.

The South will be comprised of players from Merced, El Capitan, Golden Valley, Mariposa, Le Grand, Dos Palos and Sonora.

The North will have players representing Atwater, Buhach Colony, Livingston, Los Banos, Pacheco, Hilmar and Gustine.

Also on Saturday is the 43rd annual Lions All-Star Football Game at Tracy High at 7 p.m.

Local players participating for the South include Justin Stefani, Roy Gutierrez and Quian Newson of Buhach Colony, Alec Barcellos and Bailey Rodriguez of Los Banos and Kama’Re Bailey of Mariposa.
