Merced County All-Star Baseball Game is set to return on Saturday in Atwater

One year after organizers were forced to cancel the game because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Merced County All-Star Baseball Game is returning this year.

The 11th Annual Merced County All-Star Game, which features high school baseball players from across the county, will be played on Saturday, June 5, at Memorial Ballpark.

The game is scheduled to start at 7:15 p.m.

Players who received all-league honors from Merced County are invited to play.

The North will feature high school players from Atwater, Buhach Colony, Los Banos, Hilmar, Pacheco, Gustine, Livingston and Delhi high schools. The North team will be coached by Pacheco’s Chauncey Lee.

The South will be composed of players from Merced, Golden Valley, El Capitan, Le Grand, Dos Palos, Mariposa, Stone Ridge Christian and Sonora. The South will be coached by Dos Palos’ Leonard Davis.

The North leads the all-time series 7-3.
