Sun-Star’s Best Prep Football: Merced’s Jaylen Thao-Booth wins Prep of the Week poll
Merced High defensive star Jaylen Thao-Booth delivered a monster performance in Merced’s 56-15 quarterfinal win over East Union. Thao-Booth recorded five sacks to help the Bears keep their season alive.
The Merced High senior won the Merced Sun-Star Prep of the Week Football Poll.
Thao-Booth earned the most votes for the Merced Sun-Star’s Prep Football Player of the Week. The senior garnered 47,598 votes for 35% of the 134,623 total votes.
Merced teammate Jack Collins finished second with 46,256 votes and Hilmar running back Broc Perry finished third with 34,134 votes.
