Sun-Star’s Best: Pacheco’s Pikas wins Prep of the Week voting
Pacheco High senior Abi Pikas won this week’s Merced Sun-Star Prep of the Week fan vote.
Pikas won this week’s poll with over 47% of the total vote with 38,456 votes.
Pikas went 13-for-13 at the plate in four games for the Panthers with nine runs scored and eight stolen bases. It was part of a stretch of going 19-for-19 at the plate over five games that set a NorCal record for consecutive at-bats with a hits, according to CalHiSports.
There were 82,155 total votes.
El Capitan softball player Kassidy Spiva finished second with 31,660 votes.
