Sun-Star’s Best: Los Banos’ Carreiro wins Player of the Week poll for Week 6
Los Banos High School running back Mark Carreiro turned in a big-time performance in the Tigers’ 32-17 win over Grace Davis.
Carreiro rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns to help Los Banos improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Carreiro won the Merced Sun-Star fans’ vote for High School Football Player of the Week for Week 6.
Carreiro received 45% of the votes for a total of 4,008 votes.
There were 8,825 total votes.
Le Grand High School running back Alexis Granados finished second with 2,634 votes.
